Workdevdc is an all-encompassing village approach to the eradication of violence for all communities, focusing on at-risk youth programming and mentoring. We focus on programming that fosters conflict prevention, intervention, and wrap-around services with a culturally competent approach to dealing with our most vulnerable youth.
Created by Youth Mentor and Credible Messenger Cameron Williams, WorkDev is taking a education/workforce development approach to the eradication of crime, particularly with our youth. After being introduced to several programs during our tenure as a Credible Messenger, WorkDev has been created and strategically positioned to address crime and violence with a unique approach. An approach of understanding and empathy toward the problems combined with real time solutions to combat the problems via the arts and trade based programming.
